Custom made, solid wood oversized workbench that has seen a good deal of use, so it looks a little distressed, which makes it look cool, but it is as solid as they come. Here are the specific dimensions:
8' 10" Length
27" (Width (Made of 3 9"wide pieces of solid wood)
1-3/4" Depth
3' 5" Height
I'm not sure of the type of wood but it is thick and extremely solid. The workbench has four solid legs - 2 on either side and reinforced wood pieces along the length and width that you could probably put plywood on for extra strorage beneath. This workbench is built to last and last and there is no sagging because the lenghts are supported underneath by 4 9" x 1-1/2" long supports.
I apologize for the photo but the workbench of now cleared off. It has about 6 deep holes drilled at the end to easily mount vises, circular saws, etc. (I already sold those tools that were mounted there.)
The upper level storage area (which is separate from the workbench) I'll be putting up for sale also. That piece is solid too as it was part of a very high quality storage system furniture piece from the 1960ies. $45 on separate CL posting.
To build a workbench this size and quality of wood would cost quite a bit with the price of lumber nowadays. I can just see this workbench in a barn or large potting area or huge woodworking shop-many uses.
You will need two people to get this into a truck. I won't be able to help you but will give you moral support!
