About me: I'm a 37-year-old geek with interests spanning video games, anime, fantasy, sci-fi, reading, and martial arts. I'm currently in a period of unemployment after leaving my job last year. I have some money saved up, should cover a year. Looking for a job but the market isn't great.

I share my life with two wonderful cats: a small female black cat and a male tabby. They are both friendly, neutered, and while they have their claws, they are generally well-behaved.
What I am Looking for: I'm quite open to different locations – states, cities, or towns. My main concern is finding a comfortable and peaceful place for myself and my feline companions. My budget at the moment is to keep rent under $500 per month, low
