PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD! Nice Slingerland 5ply players kit from about the mid-seventies (except snare) that hasn't been beat to death. As stated it is a players kit because it is not a numbers matched or collector grade kit. The snare is a beautiful 1965 3ply gold/ black badge eight lug with re-rings which plays and sounds great. The chrome on all the drums is nice and shiney, the wrap is tight and has aged nicely to an off- white/cream hue. **Due to the light levels and slow flash on my camera the drums may appear to be more yellowed in some pics. The Remo Emperor heads are in excellent condition, the mufflers are intact and functioning, and the sound is warm and classic. Only quirks are a previous repair that was done to patch a mount hole on the top side of the base drum (shown in pic) but it is hard to see from three ft away and is in back of the rail mount so you wouldn't even notice it was there. It has no effect on the sound. Overall I would rate it a decent 7 on a 10 scale it's a sharp looking kit that's ready to gig right out of the door. Sizes are 14x22" Bass drum, 8x12" Tom, 16x16" Flr tom and a 5 1/2 x 14" Snare drum. .Also included is a vintage Promar heavy duty hi-hat, a rubber practice pad for the snare and a vintage external clamp on bass drum muffler.
