Covering is black but is a Naugahyde that is shinier than the more common black covering than you generally see and has an embossed leather-like grain. It was used on some of these early series amps and used also in the subsequent combo series.
Great condition; I repaired a tear at the bottom edge of the front and back by splitting and reinstalling the original vinyl with a gap left in the center of the underside.
