About the Position
Delco Mulch is looking for a reliable, honest, and responsible yard worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will help maintain an organized and safe yard area, assist customers, and support daily operations.

Job Responsibilities:
• Greet customers arriving to dump landscaping materials or to purchase products.
• Provide prices and direct customers to pay in the office.
• Maintain control and inventory of tools in the repair shop.
• Record tools checked out by employees and ensure they are returned.
• Do not lend company tools to customers.
• Communicate with truck drivers (tractor trailers) to keep the yard clear for loading/unloading and avoid accidents.
• Supervise workers to ensure they are completing their assigned tasks.
• Follow all safety procedures and help enforce company rules.
• Keep the work area clean and free of debris.
• Safeguard employees and public from hazards in and around the work area by enforcing safe job practices, keeping work area clean and orderly, and staying in frequent voice communication with co-workers.
• Flag traffic to protect employees and the public from potential harm or injury.
• Perform general clean-up of job sites following completion of work.
• Keep work area clear of debris.
• Always follow and help enforce safe practices and rules
• Drive and operate heavy equipment as wheel loaders and skid steer loader
• Must be able to comprehend verbal job instructions/information
• Must be able to communicate with vendors and order parts and services
Requirements
• Reliable, honest, and responsible
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Able to lift heavy materials and operate yard equipment
• Basic communication skills and teamwork attitude
• Driver’s license preferred
• Mechanical skills
