Epson 3880 17 inch printer had been printing fine and then I tried to use 3rd party inks. (2 of them are in the printer) It is turning on but is only giving error messages now. (see pics) It may work fine again with genuine Epson inks but I don't know for sure as I am not sure what is wrong. I was told by a tech person that error 1404 is a cartridge related error. As you can see from the pics there is still a fair amount of ink in the cartridges. The 3rd party carts are brand new. I have the original box for the printer.
I didn't try to repair it. I decided to buy a new printer.
Plus two 3rd party cartridges that are new but open-box.
