A growing IT services firm is seeking a reliable, client-focused Field Technician for a part-time engagement supporting an established professional office in the Philadelphia area.
Position Overview
This is a white-glove, client-facing role suited for a polished, self-directed technician who is comfortable working directly with end users in a professional environment. You will act as the primary onsite IT presence, backed by a responsive remote engineering team for escalations.
Schedule: 1 day per week (4–8 hours)
Start Date: mid-May 2026 (~mid May)
Engagement Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Expected Duration: 4–8 weeks+, with potential for extension
Key Responsibilities
* Provide onsite end-user support in a professional, client-facing setting
* Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 issues, including access and permissions
* Support day-to-day user needs and provide general IT guidance
* Uphold IT policies and promote best practices across the environment
* Coordinate with remote engineering teams for escalations and project support
Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in a Windows-based IT environment
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including access management, DLP, and SharePoint
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users effectively
* Comfortable working independently with minimal onsite supervision
* Professional demeanor with strong reliability and punctuality
