Hand forged antique iron spit hook andirons, probably 18th century. Spit hook andirons have hooks on the back to suspend a spit in front of the fireplace fire to roast meat. The spit was turned by hand or with a clockwork mechanism. Andirons are 16 1/2"H x 11"W x 23 1/2"D. Pickup preferred or buyer pays actual shipping costs. Cash or cashier's check only.
