Alpha to Omega is seeking highly motivated part-time Cost Estimator Interns to support our estimating and pre-construction department for the upcoming projects. This role involves assisting with project take-offs, analyzing material costs, and helping ensure our project bids are accurate and competitive.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the estimating team with material take-offs and quantity surveying.
Utilize Google Platforms (Drive, Sheets, Docs) to organize project bids and vendor quotes.
Assist in reviewing project blueprints, specifications, and documents.
Handle professional communications with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing.
Maintain organized digital records of project estimates and historical cost data.
Communicate with leadership to ensure all estimates align with project budgets and company goals.
Qualifications:
Strong proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
Basic understanding of or interest in construction drawings and blueprints.
Excellent mathematical skills and high attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple project deadlines simultaneously.
Comfortable using digital communication tools like phone calls, Zoom, etc.
