Our client is a leading provider of patient recruitment solutions for the pharmaceutical industry. Their proprietary software and databases, in conjunction with their recruitment process expertise, allow pharmaceutical companies to identify qualified patients for clinical studies, and track them in the detail required to maximize enrollment.
Job Role & Scope:
The Copywriter is responsible for developing messaging concepts and writing, editing, and proofing content and copy to inspire and support visual communications for print and web. Working as a support and ideation member of the creative team, the copywriter articulates patient-, client-, and prospect-focused messaging and works on its integration with project and campaign components. The copywriter is accountable for checking facts and relevance of the content being developed and sees that it is in support of agency and client standards and practices. The copywriter is a good listener and can work effectively at the client and project management level to ensure continuity and deliverability of all assignments.
The Copywriter will support the Senior Copywriter in the development of content focused on patient recruitment, advertising, retention topics, site support, physician education, and promotional concepts. With a mission of delivering quality, accurate, research-based work, the copywriter will collaborate with the creative services team to ensure clear and consistent messaging across all company media points.
*Research and evaluate audience targets on projects and campaigns
*Understand and implement creative briefings to inform and guide writing research and development
*Brainstorm ideas and concepts for creative options as outlines, headlines, storyboards, drafts, etc.
*Edit content and scope as project dictates and create versions and adaptations
*Oversee editing support as necessary and ensure production deadlines and parameters are met
*Outline, develop, and modify copy according to sponsor comments and track changes and versions
*Check and refine ongoing content/story development
*Manage time and schedules in completion of multiple projects
*Provide quality control oversite to ensure client brand alignment and consistency
*Occasionally assist with company marketing, advertising, PR, and promotional support when necessary
Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
*3 - 5 years copywriting experience (marketing, advertising, journalism), for print and web
*Understand language styles with ability to write clear, concise, grammatically correct copy
*Ability to produce quality work and manage multiple projects, simultaneously, on tight schedules
*Exceptional writing, proofing, and editing skills
*Exemplary verbal communication and interpersonal skills, plus effective research and review abilities
*Proficient in MS Office -- Word, PowerPoint, Excel (Adobe Creative Suite a plus)
*Experience in life sciences, with knowledge of healthcare, pharma, and patient recruitment a plus
