Non-Quit Smoking Study at the University of Pennsylvania

If you are a smoker who menstruates regularly, smokes at least 5 cigarettes a day and has been smoking for at least 1 year, but are not quite ready to quit, this study may be of interest to you!

The Treatment Research Center at the University of Pennsylvania is conducting a study to examine how female hormones influence the brain and behavior.

If you are healthy, menstruate regularly, are between the ages of 18-45, currently using a non-hormonal method of birth control (examples below), you may be eligible. Please call us at show contact info for more information or click on this link: https://clinicalresearch.itmat.upenn.edu/POFM/

Examples of Non-hormonal birth control methods:
• barrier {diaphragm or condom} with spermicide
• a non-hormonal IUD (e.g. Paragard)
• heterosexual abstinence

Participants will receive physical and psychological examinations and non-invasive MRI scans at NO COST.

Compensation is provided.
