We are currently searching for Employment Trainers. The primary function of this position is to provide on-the-job training and related supports to individuals with a variety of abilities, helping them gain independence and self-sufficiency in the workplace while meeting employer expectations. The position also involves filling out accurate and timely progress notes and reports, communicating with the individual's support team, and serving as an advocate for the people we serve.
We are seeking people who have had interesting and varied experiences in their life and/or work. If you can answer yes to any of these questions, you may be the person we are looking for!
Can you think and work creatively in varying types of positions?
Do you have a degree in Education or teaching experience?
Have you worked with adults with disabilities?
Do you have extensive, varied, or unique work experiences?
Are you involved in the arts, technology, or other creative endeavors?
Are you bilingual? Do you know American Sign Language?
Are you interested in making a difference in our community?
• Organized and able to manage time efficiently
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Willing to handle flexible schedule and working arrangements
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and willing to travel across Philadelphia and the surrounding counties
• Access to a computer and cell phone
• Must have patience, compassion, resilience, and a strong desire to make a difference in people's lives
