This old oxen connector or stretcher was used to connect and separate a pair of oxen or other farm animals. It has a wonderful old world, country primitive look. The wood is old and solid and heavy, and the wrought iron ends and rings is all hand forged and hand hammered. Probably from the 1800s or maybe early 1900s. In good condition. This could make a great pot rack or lighting fixture.
Measures 40 1/2" long and the wood is about 2 1/2" in diameter. The center ring is about 4 3/8" in diameter, and the two rings on the outside are about 3 3/4" in diameter.
I have a few other of these connectors or stretchers, so if this one isn't the right size or style, come have a look at the others.
Cash and pick up only please.
