PaperMill Fresh Asian Kitchen is a food truck, catering and more recently - shopfront that slings out Fresh Asian fare! Originally from the beaches of Sydney, Australia, we are known for our 'Spurrito', fresh spring roll burrito, bowls and hoagies, and we talk pride in promoting an active and healthy lifestyle through our fresh food. Our shop is located at 34th & Walnut in University City, and our food truck is out 6 days a week at a range of breweries, lunch spots - and pre-covid we drove the truck to festivals in the tri-state area such as Made in America Music Festival, Governors Ball in New York, and Trenton Punk rock flea market! We're a young, dynamic and eccentric lot at PaperMill, and we want someone likeminded to join the ride with us!
We're looking for a someone to manage our shop!! Also accepting line /lead line cook with a food managers license looking to get an 'in'/ experience in management specifically at our Shop. The shop workload right now varies, but is currently on the slower side but is building back up! Our store is located in University City at Franklin's Table Food Hall on 34th Walnut, so getting here would firstly be important (parking is all metered), hours would tentatively be Monday-Friday 9:30-4:30pm, or 35 hours per week. We have a really tightly knit team who have all collectively weathered through COVID, and we are looking for a dedicated, personable and flexible person to join us! Work would be autonomous or with one other person as it stands, and would involve taking in deliveries, basic prep of sauces, vegetables and proteins, and line work during lunch and dinner, along with routine cleaning and COVID-related measures. Cleanliness and tidiness is very important. Having an understanding of overall business systems and processes is very important (particularly as we have a commissary, food truck and shop constantly in communication). Being consistently communicative, getting along with our team, and having a genuine interest in speaking to customers is imperative. An understanding of South-East Asian cuisine and flavours is very attractive. We are ambitious and while COVID has been a spanner in the works, we are a team that is ambitious and always pushing eachother further.
