The extended day program staff will assist the Director of the Extended Day Programs with the creation, development and implementation of a quality program that provides a safe, nurturing environment for students. Extended day staff will provide students with socially, emotionally, academically and physically appropriate activities. The Extended Day staff will maintain this environment by successfully implementing the daily program activities. Daily expectations include but are not limited to preparing and supervising snacks and outdoor play, maintaining a clean environment, assisting students with day-to-day needs, leading group activities, leading students in games or table activities, maintaining accurate attendance records, and interacting with parents in a professional manner.

One or more years of college preferred
Motivated, energetic, mature leader
Enjoys working with children
Prior experience working with students as young as 3 years of age through to eighth grade
Good communication skills
Possess or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
You must pass a PA State background clearance.
Work as a team with all extended day staff
Nurture, by example, respect for the individuality of each student
Supervise students at all times as they transition from one activity to another to insure all students are accounted for and safe at all times
Prepare healthy snacks and maintain a clean snack area
Providing homework help
Efficiently redirect inappropriate behaviors, and guide proper student behavior
Maintain an indoor and outdoor environment that is clean and safe
Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of the Extended Day Programs
