City Year is Looking for Group Leaders!
What is City Year?
City year is a national community service organization that unites diverse 17-24 year-olds in ten months of full-time service and civic engagement. The Youth Corps is a weekend leadership development and community service program for middle school students (Young Heroes) and high school students (City Heroes). The goal is to explore social issues and then link them with community service, while creating leaders for tomorrow.
What is a Group Leader?
A Group Leader is a mentor and friend who leads a team of 10-12 students in workshops and powerful service along with a Co-Group Leader. They facilitate team discussions and reflection activities, attend each Saturday, all retreats and events, and any necessary trainings

When is the Program?
December – May
Young Heroes: 3 Saturdays per month 8:00 – 4:30
City Heroes: 1 overnight retreat (Fri. 6 PM– Sat. 4:30 PM) AND 1 Saturday (8:45 AM– 4:45 PM) per month
What do I Need?
Attend 3 day training November 17th -- 19th
Attend weekend events consistently
