The University of Pennsylvania is seeking women 18-40 years old with polyscystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) who want to become pregnant for two separate research studies. To be eligible for either study partcipants must have:
Periods more than 45 days apart, or fewer than 8 periods a year
One of the studies compares three different treatment options for women who are overweight with a body mass index (BMI) of 27-42. Participation includes physical exams, study related medications, lifestyle intervention and dietary counseling.
The other study involves the evaluation of two different medications which may help you to become pregnant. Qualified volunteers will recieve physical exams, study medication and follow-up.
