My mother is a resident in a dementia-care assisted living facility in King of Prussia, and she is no longer interested in most activities -- except for animals! Specifically, dogs, although a lap-cat or calm bunny might work also. Yes, the facility has a visiting pet program, but it's just one hour per month, so I'm looking for someone living in the Upper Merion/KofP area w/a friendly dog to visit her periodically in addition. The facility requires that all pets be clean, up-to-date on shots, well-mannered and friendly to both people and other animals.

If you might be interested in spending 15-20 min. letting my mother pet your dog from time to time, I would love to hear from you! Either daytime or possibly early evening (before 7pm) hours would work, weekdays or weekends.

Although all dogs are of interest, anyone with a Westie, basset hound, golden retriever or border collie should bring back some fond memories for her, so they would be particularly welcome.
