Synopsis: Gordon “Stinkfoot” Johnson is an upstanding, self-respecting homeless man, but every time he turns around he’s getting hassled by good-for-nothing attorneys and low-life politicians begging him for change. Dennis got castrated at the office today, Allen has an uncontrollable gummy worm obsession, and it’s getting to the point where a young woman can’t even walk the streets at night without being accosted by shady young men trying to sell mutual funds.
The Philadelphia Bicycle Vignette Story is a series of loosely yet cleverly strung-together surrealist, socially scathing comical vignettes. There are no main characters, but recurring characters and recurring themes. There will be intense visual and aural experimentation. It’s a story about a city; a humorous and unique portrayal of Philadelphia's social climate in 2009/10, specifically in terms of hip-hop & the black experience, youth counter-culture, modern subliminal racism, poverty/homelessness, and the city budget cuts.

ANTWON BAKER: 20, black, Garrett’s foul-mouthed, free-loading friend. Stoned out of his
mind for the entire scene.
SOUND BOOTH ENGINEER: 20-something, techie-yet-jaded, deadpan white dude. He’s just
sipping coffee and doing his job.
GORDON “STINKFOOT” JOHNSON: 30’s or 40’s homeless man. Haggard, bald & snaggly-
toothed. He’s civil enough, once you look past the occasional Tourettes outbursts.
BART OSAGUINDE: 21, well-spoken dark-skinned Americanized-African. He wears dope
sneaks, designer tee’s and is constantly taking pictures for his blog.
JEFF MCCORKCLE: 21, white, a pale angry clueless hipster in skinny jeans and a skull cap.
TOMMY CHARTERS: 10 yrs old and intelligent but frustrated and bored with the public
education system. He’s well on his way to becoming another Angry Black Man.
DENNIS CHARTERS: 30’s, a few years ago he was an Angry Black Man. Now he’s an
Annoyed, Dejected & Resigned Black Man. Dead end government job, nagging wife,
three kids, shitty apartment, and on top of all that, he’s still sore from being castrated at
the office today. He’s mad at the world, and with good reason.
PAYROLL DISTRIBUTOR: 30’s or 40’s, he may have seniority over Dennis in the office, but
nonetheless he’s a real waste of space.
JANICE CHARTERS: 30’s, she’s the wife from hell. Night job, three kids, shitty apartment,
she’s pissed. But she becomes a diva and storms off to her trailer once the director yells: “Cut!!!”

Slightly-Less Principle Talent:
GANG BANKERS [4]: statistical young black males. 17, 18, 19, 20ish. Gully, grimy, greasy-
talking young punks.
ELDERLY SENATOR: old white senator who vomits all over the news desk.
FEMALE NEWS ANCHOR
INFO-MERCIALIST: loud-talking Billy Mays type selling “Death-B-Gone”
NURSE: black, 20’s or 30’s angry heavy-set nurse in pink and blue scrubs, bitching
about her husband and his eggs.

COLLEGE GIRL: quintessential blissfully ignorant U Penn college girl in booty shorts, flip-
flops & a hoodie, yelling at her boyfriend through her iPhone.
ATTORNEY: well-dressed attorney with a nasty latte addiction, begging for change.
SURLY FEMALE CASHIER: white, 30’s or 40’s, she is the epitome of horrible customer
service in this grimy Fishtown Pizza Shop
SKINNY TEENS {2}: white, 16 17 18ish, a couple of skinny bucktooth angry racist shit-poor
backwoods punks.
NYEEMAH: 10 yrs old, cute little black girl in cornrows and beads.
MRS. BROOKS: 30’s, black, inner city 4th grade social studies teacher.
LAQUAN: tiny tiny 10 year old boy swimming in an oversized Starter jacket with an imitation
diamond stud in his ear. He’s a class clown and an adorable little “thuglette” ... he’s
probably in a gang already.
SHARHONDA: another adorable little 10-year-old black girl.
GARY: Adrian’s buddy, also 25, also edgy and ferocious.
ALLEN: 24, he’s got a gummy-worm obsession.
HAROLD: Allen’s friend, same age, becomes a victim of Allen’s gummy worm obsession.
KACIE: 30’s or 40’s, white. She’s an older white lady in a sun hat carrying a cluster of Banana
Republic shopping bags but don’t let that fool you, she is not to be fucked with.
JILL: 30’s or 40’s, white. Kacie’s friend.
NIA: 24, brown, petite and cute as a button. She’s got a sharp tongue on her though, watch
out.
FALISHA: 24, husky and butch. Fitted cap, Jesus chain. She tries to put the moves on Nia.
DUANE: 22, tall, suave, devlish model type. Chatting up some girl at the bar.
AMINA: 21, gorgeous, flowing long hair, stilettos, skimpy black dress, total flirt. She’s a “Club
Jawn”.
DUDE: obnoxious party-goer who convinces DJ Phsh to play the wackest song ever.

HIPSTER: politely asks DJ Phsh to turn down the music, just before nodding off.

You would need to be available for most rehearsals on Saturdays, if not all. Rehearsal times are 12pm-5pm every Saturday. Rehearsals will either be in Deptford or Haddonfield, NJ.
You would need to play the show as piano 1 every night. We will supply piano 2, bass, guitar and drums.
We are looking for a young, energetic person who is familiar with the show and feels the Rock/Pop feel is their strength. You would need to confidently and comfortably teach harmonies, vocal parts and complete songs.
We are keeping the show as close to the Broadway show as possible.
We have a great staff lined up. This is the final piece we need. Auditions are soon. If we bring someone on board by auditions, you will be on the casting commitee and help to cast the show. If we don't find our MD until after auditons, the show will already be cast for you.
We have an INCREDIBLE amount of professional talent lined up for auditions so rest assured you will be part of an amazing show.
I already have the complete piano conductors score for your review.
This position is paid and is negotiable. We do have a budget but will pay for professionalism.
