RIGHT DIRECTION is a company that transports at-risks adolescents to treatment programs. We are looking for a few responsible individuals with a flexible schedule looking for a supplemental income. You must have experience with and interest in working with adolescents. You will also need to do a considerable amount of traveling throughout the course of your employment.
JOB DESCRIPTION: As an Adolescent Interventionist, you and a team member will transport at-risk adolescents from one location to another (typically from their home to a treatment program). Right Direction is hired by the parents, who give us signed legal authority, to safely transport their children to pre-arranged therapeutic programs. Most of these teens have emotional issues and can sometimes be very defiant. Safety is the number one concern. You must be aware you might have to restrain the adolescent during the intervention only if the situation arises. We use core body holds and de-escalation techniques to gain control of the situation. Employees will always work in pairs. Quite often, employees are given very little notice of a case; therefore, a flexible schedule is a must. This position is an on call position and in no way full time or part time.

DETECTIVE - Responsibilities include: enforcement of policies and procedures,

DOCK GUARD - Responsibilities include: providing support for customer service and
customer pick-up procedures, control losses and reduce shrinkage through policy enforcement and
store perimeter checks.

Works under the direction of the Store Manager and District Loss Prevention Manager. Implements company programs relating to shortage control, internal dishonesty, shoplifting, and safety. Trains and certifies the store Loss Prevention team. Assist in training and certifies store associates in the area of office, receiving and MC&C processes as it relates to shrink and safety. Supervises and serves as a role model for all Loss Prevention team members. Actively works to gain the experience and skills necessary for promotion.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Loss Prevention Lead, Loss Prevention Associate, and Exit Monitor
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Owns shrink and safety results for the store and supports Loss Prevention five plays strategy
•Detection, investigation and successful resolution of all internal cases. (Must successfully complete the SHC Wicklander-Zulawski interviewing and interrogation certification program).
•Detection and detention, when appropriate, of those responsible for external theft
•Knowledge and implementation of all safety, food safety, OSHA and environmental programs
•Conducts assessments of Loss Prevention or operational performance that impacts shortage control. Actively works with Store Management in the development and implementation of action plans to improve performance.
•Conducts safety and food safety inspections on a scheduled basis. Ensures the timely and accurate reporting of results and assists in the development and implementation of corrective actions.
•Recruits, hires, trains, certifies and supervises the store Loss Prevention team
•Ensures accurate and timely report writing, record keeping and retention of evidence
•Ensures the proper operation and oversees repairs of alarm, EAS and CCTV equipment
•Educates and motivates Store Management and associates to achieve shrink, workers compensation and general liability goals
•Works as a liaison between Kmart and the criminal justice community
•Demonstrates courageous leadership by identifying and communicates potential ethical or safety issues that must be addressed at a higher level.
•Reports and manages critical incidents to Store Manager and District Loss Prevention Manager
•Completes and follows-up on required inventories and audits in order to control costs and shrinkage
•Reports, records and follows-up on customer accidents and assists when necessary in the investigation of associate accidents in order to resolve and reduce incident frequency and severity
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

You may even be required to assist security personnel in screening the local population at military checkpoints
Other duties may include providing interpretation assistance for the Public Affairs Office (PAO) during local media events and translation of local newspapers or pamphlets

Job training for an Interpreter/Translator requires you to demonstrate proficiency of English and a foreign language. You may be required to attend English language training at Ft. Jackson prior to attending Basic Combat Training (BCT). The length of your stay will depend on the level of your English language proficiency. Once you have successfully completed this, you must attend and successfully complete nine weeks of BCT where you will learn the basic skills necessary to become a Soldier. Immediately following BCT you will attend Advanced Individual Training (AIT). As a loss prevention investigator, you will protect the assets of the company. You will be responsible for promoting shortage prevention and awareness, detecting and apprehending shoplifters and others who commit thefts and/or acts of fraud. This position leads to greater responsibilities within our Loss Prevention Department.
Key Accountabilities:
·Complete all training requirements and maintain personal certifications as required by law
·Understand and maintain strict compliance with the law and company policies concerning apprehensions, search and seizure and the preservation of evidence
·Promote shortage awareness and theft deterrence among associates by conducting meetings and participating in loss prevention-sponsored training events
·Conduct audits to ensure Sales department compliance to merchandise exposure standards and loss prevention
·Recover stolen merchandise and apprehend shoplifters and other who commit fraud or other criminal acts
·Investigate criminal violations against the person or property of any customer or associate committed on company premises
·Respond to customer accidents to facilitate first aide and minimize company liability
·Prepare prompt and complete reports relative to all theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations, audits and other activities as assigned by the Loss Prevention Manager
·Testify in court concerning any case, criminal or civil, wherein the company is a party in interest to which the investigator is summoned
