This position is expected to be permanent position for an individual that would like to work year in and year out. Most of our employees have tenure with our firm exceeding 10 years each. We have a small family firm that treats everyone like part of our family.
Skilled Maintenance Technician.
• A reliable vehicle, driver's license and clean driving record is required
• A clean criminal back ground is required.
• 3-5 years minimum experience (trades or as Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Supervisor).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess knowledge and experience to install and repair basic plumbing fixtures, electric outlets, appliances, and heating systems.
• Must be able to complete minor roofing and siding repairs as well as climb ladders to clear gutters and downspouts.
• Must be able to tile and grout floors and walls (or willing and able to learn).
• Must be able to work a 40 + hour work week and on call schedule every other week.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid PA driver's license.
• Must be physically able to shovel snow, move appliances, and climb ladders to change light bulbs, clear downspouts, and gutters.
• Must be self motivated and able to work equally well both supervised and on your own.
• Must possess a positive attitude and good people skills.
• Ideally carpentry skills including finish cabinet repair/installation, door installation, countertop cut and installation,
and framing skills needed to create half walls from full walls(to alter room designs to allow open floor plan) would be a great plus, but only basic carpentry skills are required.
• Must be able to communicate with tenants in a professional, courteous manner.
This position is for a garden style Apartment Community located in a quiet suburb in Audubon Pennsylvania, in Lower Providence Township, just off the Oaks exit of 422.
The salary is flexible $ 27,000.00 - $ 35,000.00.
Applicants at the upper salary range should possess HVAC Certification, Mold Remediation Certification, and Lead Based Paint Certification.
There is opportunity for an annual bonus, paid vacation, paid sick days, and paid personal days.
