I am looking for a single mother or small family that would could help us out for the next 6 months. Hey C-listers. I've outgrown my new-to-Philly starter apt and would like to move into something cheaper and frankly, nicer. Like a lot of people, I didn't really know anyone when I moved into the city (been here almost 2 yrs) so I leaped at the chance to live in CC for (relatively) cheap. Now that I've made some friends and have become familiar with the city and its neighborhoods, I realize that I can definitely do better.

The details: I'm a late 20's male, full-time student who works part-time. I own a home that I rent out, so I know what it means to both pay and collect rent/bills. I'm an open-minded individual who strives for a drama-free existence. I'm into my studies at the moment, but I'm no stick-in-the-mud and can get along with just about anybody. I'm not a neat-freak, but won't poo on the floor either and I hope you can say the same. I don't smoke and don't have any pets. Some of my interests include: gastropubs, progressive politics, volunteering, NPR, football, dining, good music, the occasional museum/gallery, business/finance, tv sports, quality cinema, travel, meeting new people, good conversation, and whiskey.

I'm looking to move Dec 1st give or take a week or two and pay btw $350-500/mo total. Male of female doesn't matter, as I have lived with both in the past and would be equally considerate. I would prefer that the place have modern amenities (central air, washer/dryer, wifi, etc.) and be near transit, though neither are deal breakers. I'm open to North (Temple area), South, West Philly, and CC as long as the neighborhood is decent. And by decent I mean that I don't have to be able to eat off of the sidewalk, but I don't want to be butt-raped taking my garbage out either.
