Looking for something fun and unique to do in the great outdoors? Join the Schuylkill Dragons for a ride in a dragonboat on the Schuylkill River. You’ll learn how to paddle and all about the history of dragonboating. All levels of fitness can participate. A dragonboat is a canoe shaped boat that seats 20 paddlers. Dragonboat teams and races can be found across the country and the world.

Sign up for your spot in the boat on August 9th from 10 to 5 at the Fairmount Park/Temple Boathouse Parking lot (adjacent to St. Joe’s Boathouse near the Strawberry Mansion Bridge). Reserve your preferred time by contacting flywithsds2008@verizon.net. $20.00 donation benefits the Schuylkill Dragons, an all women team located in Philadelphia.
